Bought this and love it however if u need space for earrings there is absolutely none. I didn't mind bc I have a separate little thing for earrings but I will say this if u want to house a lot in here u won't get ur buck for it. I knew that before buying it because it was more for style than storage. You can't hang a lot in here and definitely can't fill the door up too much or it won't close. It's hard to lock and unlock so be patient bc I think they are all like that. I will say design is great and it's very durable. Holds lots of earrings and nice that you can take out the trays but still not a lot of space for bangles either if you have a lot and u need someone who knows what they are doing to hang it bc it's so heavy I couldn't do it on my own. Overall for what I wanted I love it. :)

This item arrived in the most elaborate packaging I have ever seen. They were careful not to have it damaged, but didn't seem too concerned about how I was going to put it together! They gave me hardware for only three of the four legs, and the screws were too short to do the job. The mirrored top was off, and looked like it had been attached once, but then removed, and then they forgot to include the screws! I was fortunate that my son was able to get some screws to put it together, or I would be the proud owner of a lid-less, very wobbly, three-legged armoire!! Other than that, it looks good with my cherry bedroom furniture. I feel it was a bit pricey, considering it seemed like a previously used item, but I will keep it, because it was what I wanted.

I seem to be getting more jewelry as the years roll by, so it was time for me to purchase a jewelry box. Now, I was looking for something "masculine-looking" as most jewelry boxes seem to be geared toward women. The jewelry boxes geared for men are either too small or too unsightly.

I happened to stumble across this one. The color was good, and it looked simple enough. It looked like a miniature dresser, and ironically enough, almost matched my current bedroom furniture's style.

When I received it, I was happy. It wasn't large, but just the right size.

The top of the box is a lid that opens and reveals an area for rings and other miscellaneous items. I was able to fit five of my rings comfortably (with room for about one more). My everyday watch fits in a the small compartment.

The top drawer is just for decoration (the contents underneath the lid are actually in this space. You actually have three drawers (bottom three). They are quite small and allow you to fit about two watches each or several chains, bracelets, etc.

The side panels open up to reveal three hooks each for hanging chains or necklaces.

Overall - a great product. My only complaints are the lack of "dedicated" areas for watches and the drawers don't have a "stopper". I've pulled the drawers are all the way and have to watch myself each time.

I really love it I don't own much jewelry but it is the perfect size. The musical that comes with it is not very good, it sounds horrible, but I wasn't interested in the musical, I like the side doors to hang my necklaces and the drawers for bracelets and the top for my rings and earrings.

I highly recommend this jewelry cabinet. I was looking for somewhere to store my jewelry to keep it all organized and keep it from getting all tangled up. This cabinet was perfect. I didn't want to take up a lot of space in my bedroom and this cabinet is very thin and I took down my existing full length mirror and put this up in it's place. It is great because you can see all your jewelry at one glance. This was perfect for me. The only complaints I have is the hardware that comes with the cabinet was not really sturdy enough, so my husband drilled additional holes and screwed in extra hole in the middle and bottom to make sure it hit a wall stud. It is a heavy cabinet. Also, he door does not open wide, it only opens 90 degrees, so you have be careful about where you hang it, that you have plenty of room on the right hand side. Also, you'll want to hang it in a well lit area so you can see everything when you open up the cabinet. I use a "clip" light on a bookshelf beside the cabinet so I can light it up to see everything.

I had read reviews on other site and mulled over purchasing for several weeks. It was much nicer than expected. It will be easy to modify for my HUGE earring collection. The hanging hardware was cheesy at best. No hanging instructions. And it will take two strong people to hang. Had to call and ask where the key was.... but over all I am very happy and thrilled that I did not have to have something custom made.

A few years ago, my mom told me that a rich aunt has her jewelry organizer/safe built into her wall... we are building a house and I had the perfect spot for such an item. Got online and searched around... the types that say you can build them in are $400+ and there were no good pictures available. My husband said he didn't see any major differences between this wall mount and the others, and we decided to try to recess this one. I purchased, it arrived quickly, and is just fabulous. Exactly what I was looking for. Not a safe (though it does have a small lock), but I don't need that, just a place to organize. It's heavy and the mirror looks nice, a bonus that I can use it for double purpose (mirror and organizer) inside my closet. The outside finish looks very nice and rich, and the inside construction is very well done and well laid-out. I can't wait to finish the house and start using it!

We liked it so much, my dad asked me to buy one for my mom immediately after seeing it! Highly recommend this product.

I wanted a free standing full length mirror and was very excited to find some that also function as a jewelry box.

PROS:
looks very nice in person
seems sturdy
easy to assemble
as lots of hardware, hooks, etc. (it can hold a large collection)

CONS:
the door is magnetized to stay shut which makes it hard to open when your jewelry is weighing it down and the mirror/box is slightly tilted back.
the mirror cannot be moved to a completely vertical position

Overall I am pleased with the product and do not regret buying it

It's nicely designed but fundamentally flawed.

First, the chest smells really strange, almost like wood smoke. It's particularly noticeable when opening the top lid. Could be the smell of the stain, I'm not sure. In any case it still hasn't gone away after two weeks.

Second, the necklace holders in each door are mounted well below the top of the door, wasting valuable space needed to hang long necklaces. I fixed this by prying it off and nailing them back in at the highest point in the door.

Which leads me to the third issue: this armoire is VERY cheaply made and should cost about 1/3 of what is listed currently (Amazon price $280). The handles are coming loose already, but I can't fix it without ripping out the felt lining that covers the screws inside the drawers.

Be advised that it comes with an anti-tipping mount - so if you have children and you want to angle this in a corner, think again.

It looks really nice, but I wouldn't buy this again at the price I did. :(

Bought as a birthday present for my daughter. Upon unpacking it and trying to assemble, first noticed a large gouge in the wood finish at the bottom front below the mirror. This had to have been evident to someone during manufacturing or packaging. Then, when trying to assemble one of the feet onto the leg, the foot would not fit into the groove on the leg. Turns out that when the foot was made, the piece that it supposed to slide into the groove on the leg was cut crooked/ wavy instead of straight AND the angle of the cut was backwards in comparison to all of the other feet that did fit. Hard to explain, but trust me very frustrating (square peg round hole scenario almost). Fortunately, my husband is pretty handy with tools and was able to shave and trim the foot to fit after many, many trials, as did not want to cut too much and ruin the foot completely. I know, we could have sent it back and asked for a refund or replacement, but really didn't have the time, since it was a birthday present and also didn't want to deal with trying to return it. Finally, on the inside of the armoire the fabric piece that is rippled to hold rings, it is not tacked in completely and needs some glue or something to hold it in place. I will try to find something to fill in the gouge in the finish and hope that it isn't too noticeable, since it is at the bottom and I can probably glue the fabric inside and yes my husband was able to fix the foot. This however should have been an easy assembly for us and for the price, this should have been a nice piece of furniture, but I would not recommend it to anyone else. Perhaps, this was a fluke and just bad luck, but I purchase a lot through Amazon and their sellers and this is the first instance that I have been truly disappointed. Therefore, this is the first review I have taken the time to write. I know I really should find time to write rave reviews for all of the other items that I have been 100% satisfied with, another day. I just knew though that I needed to make the time to write this review, as I feel that the Quality checks on this item are indeed lacking and that others need to be aware of that.

Good Looking Inside and Out! By Happy Reader
I purchased this jewelry box as a gift for my son. The price was right (as of 12/2011), but I was a little worried that the lower price would translate into a cheap looking box.

My fears were unfounded. This is a very nice looking box. It is sturdy, made out of wood, with black faux leather stretched over it. The fake leather is nicely turned and fitted. There are no wrinkles or gaps, etc. It is elegant looking. As it's not real leather, it will not wear the same as leather, but this is a box, not shoes, and it looks great. The box has a hard base that holds the vinyl corners a little above the dresser surface, so even the bottom corners will last longer.

The box closes with a magnetic clasp. It has great white top-stitching on the cover and the clasp. The inside is covered in a pale tan synthetic moleskin - again, it is elegant. The inside is divided into eight compartments. One is covered in the faux leather instead of the tan moleskin. The description calls it a "coin slide". There are two removable padded watch cushions in their own compartments.

I've added three photos, above, to help you make up your mind. The first is a close up of the outside. The second shows the open box with the two watch cushions in place. The third shows the watch cushions taken out.

Lastly, as this may be important to some, this jewelry box is "CARB Composite Wood Compliant Phase 1 Standards". This means that the composite wood used passes the Phase 1 standards for avoiding formaldehyde emissions.

I am very pleased with this gift. It is made by "Mele & Co, Since 1912".

Very beautiful... very well made, sturdy product. My wife and I like clean, slick, smooth, modern finishes. Not the fancy carvings and wood crafting that comes on most every other jewelry case.It takes a few seconds to get used to the locking mechanism, you have to turn it a little further than you would think, but works great. The compartments are nicely lined. My only structural complaint is that the side necklace compartments aren't flush with the lid. Not exactly sure why they left such a noticeable gap on both sides.

Nice quality but too small By mammamia
I ordered this for my son as he has several nice watches, and I thought it would be nice for him to have a storage box in which to keep them. The quality was very nice, but when we tried putting a few of my husband's watches in it, the lid wouldn't close. We returned this item and purchased one from Fossil. It was more expensive, but the watches all fit nicely.
