The lid with pendant hooks and elasticized pouch opens to reveal a cantilevered tray. The well has several compartments, and there are two drawers for earrings, bracelets, and more. All are lined in "dior" red nylon velvet. Solid-brass drawer pulls and engravable nameplate; brass-finished side handles and cantilevers. Mahogany finish. 15-Inch by 9-1/2-Inch by 8-Inch high.

A lifetime of settling for cheap jewelry and boxes has led to this time in my life of having high quality jewelry, and more than one piece! This jewelry box is beautifully made, and coordinates well with my 1940's mahogany bedroom suite.I love the hinged-style upper shelf, having used this type in my youth. The lowest tray is made for earrings or rings, though, and I wish, at this price, I could have had an option for larger compartments, for my antique brooches. This is entirely personal, however. I also would like to see the trays not coming out altogether, though. And, the bottom tray often bunches up the dresser scarf when I slide it back into the box. This being said, I can easily fix this minor problem with a bit of felt.
In all, I am truly satisfied with this lovely box, and find it easy to use as well as being lovely!WOW !!!! By Paul R. Prescott
This is one of the most beautiful boxes I have ever seen. I am sure my fiance will love it!
Nice storage capacity including clips for necklaces, ring blocks, small and large compartments. You can either purchase a new engraved plaque for the top from R&B or take it off to engrave locally. I chose R&B ($12.50).
I new the measurements and weight from the description but it is much larger and heavier than I expected! Weight to me is a sign of quality.
Finish excellent, lining beautiful and perfect. Brass fittings very nice.
